Words that sound like you and actually get the click.
Slow Morning Co. is a one-person writing studio. I write the homepage, the emails and the sales page for small businesses whose offer is good but whose words are getting in the way.
Services
Four ways I usually help
Most projects are one of these. If yours is a mix, say so in your email and I will quote the mix.
-
Website & landing page copy
Homepages and sales pages that explain the offer in plain English, in the order a reader actually needs it.
Homepage · About · Services · Sales page
-
Email sequences
Welcome, launch and win-back emails written to be opened, not deleted. Sent as copy docs your platform can take as-is.
Welcome · Launch · Win-back
-
Brand voice & taglines
Names, taglines and a one-page voice guide the whole team can follow, so the next person who writes still sounds like you.
Naming · Tagline · Voice guide
-
Copy audit
A line-by-line pass on what you already have, with rewrites you can paste in and a short note on why each one changed.
Review · Rewrites · Notes
How it works
A short, unmysterious process
No discovery decks, no ten-step onboarding. Four steps, and you know the price before anything starts.
-
You write to me
Tell me what you sell, who it is for and what is not working. Links to what you have now help most.
-
We talk for 30 minutes
A call to hear how you describe the work out loud. That is usually where the real copy is hiding.
-
Scope and quote
A written scope with a fixed price, a timeline and how many rounds of revision are included. You approve it before I start.
-
Draft, revise, hand off
You get a draft, we revise it together, and the final copy arrives in a document your developer or platform can use directly.
About
Who writes here
Everything on this site and everything sent from this address is written by Marin Kessler, a copywriter working out of Asheville, North Carolina. Slow Morning Co. is the name the studio works under — there is no agency behind it and no one else on the account.
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and spent 2015 to 2019 freelancing there, mostly for local shops and service businesses who needed someone to make their offer make sense. I moved to Asheville and opened the studio in March 2019. Since then the work has been the same and the clients have been small on purpose: founders, makers, studios and practices in the United States, all of it remote.
I read every draft out loud before I send it. If a sentence is hard to say, it is hard to trust — that is most of the method.
Clarity is a kindness.
If it bores you to write it, it bores them to read it.
